I’m a last minute shopper, always. I loath going to the mall in December and, although I do love online shopping, let’s be real - at this point what you get might not arrive on time and not everything can be found on Amazon with that 2-day shipping option. If you’re in the same boat, I encourage you to shop at locally owned stores. Here are some of my favorites (it will become obvious that I’m an Eastown sorta gal). These are all close to each other, so visit them all!
This is one of my go-to places if I need to get a quick gift or card. They feature a fun variety of gifts, paper goods, and home accessories, including a cute children’s section! If you don’t leave with a gift for someone else, you’ll definitely find something for yourself, which happens to me more often than not! Click HERE to see more.
The Counting House
This is a new shop in Eastown and it is a good one! Everything in this store is so pleasing to the eye. They have a variety of home goods, decor, beautiful pieces of clothing, accessories, and goods for pets and children. Click HERE to see more!
All natural and handmade by the owner himself! I love this store because they care about skincare the way I do. I don’t want harsh chemicals, synthetic dyes, or fragrances, and I want the natural products I purchase to actually work - and their products all do! Click HERE to see more!
They’re doing Skin Care Saturdays this month: December 15th sugar scrubs are 15% off and December 22nd bar and liquid soaps are 15% off!
Art of the Table
This is a great shop for getting a gift for someone who loves entertaining and/or is a foodie! Featuring a variety of gourmet items, they have great ideas for gift baskets (and can help you put one together) and feature a nice selection of wine, beer, and spirits. Click HERE for more!
Hopscotch Children’s Store
This husband and wife owned children’s boutique has everything! Find unique toys, games, gear, books, including items that are locally made, organic and sustainable, all here. You’re sure to find that special gift for your little niece, nephew, or grandchild. Click HERE to see more.
Last Chance Holiday Market
And lastly, make sure to visit the Last Chance Holiday Market at the Pyramid Scheme. This event features local artists and vendors and they fill the entire venue from front to back! Last time I went, I had trouble narrowing down what to get because there were so many good gift ideas (and obviously, I had to get something for myself). I guarantee you will find something special. Be sure to check it out December 23rd from 4-8pm. For more info, click HERE.
